Toyota Corolla Altis 12th-Gen Facelift Launched in Thailand

Toyota Thailand has introduced the facelift of Toyota Corolla Altis 12th generation. It is pertinent to mention that the car was launched in the country in 2019 and this is its mid-year fresh facelift. Earlier, Altis GR Sport was upgraded in January 2022.

There are four variants of Altis in Thailand and the company has introduced upgrades in all of them.

1.6 G

The new options in this 1600cc variant include:

  • New front grille
  • 16-inch alloy wheel
  • 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apply CarPlay and Android Auto Support
  • 60:40 adjustable rear seats
  • Back guide monitor/back sonar
  • Rear air conditioning
  • Rear USB Type C-ports
  • Smart Entry

The price of this variant is increased by Rs. 15,000 Baht (PKR. 122,190). The pre-facelift price was 894,000 Baht (PKR 7,282,550).

1.8 Sport 

The second variant is Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8 Sport and the new options in this variant are:

  • LED projector/Day Time Running Lights (DRLs)
  • New front grille
  • LED fog lamps
  • 17-inch alloy wheel
  • Toyota Safety Sense i.e., Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Pre Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA).

The price of this variant has also been increased by Rs. 15,000 Baht (122,190) with previous price of 979,000 Baht (PKR 7,974,963).

GR Sport

The third variant is called Toyota Corolla Altis GR Sport, and the new options introduced by the company in it are:

  • New front grille
  • 17-inch alloy wheel
  • Push Start with GR logo
  • 12.3-inch full digital meter with multi-information display i.e., Casual, Smart, Tough, and Sporty
  • 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto Support
  • Dual zone climate control
  • Smart entry
  • Head up display
  • Wireless charger
  • EPS tuning
  • New shock absorber and coil spring
  • Rear bar stabilizer

This one also saw a price jump of 15,000 Baht (PKR 122,190) and its last price was 1,129,000 Baht (PKR 9,201,234).

HEV Premium

Last but not least, the fourth variant is Toyota Altis HEV Premium and the options it gets are:

  • New LED projector and Day Time Running Lights (DRLs)
  • Upgraded front grille
  • Decorative chrome around LED fog lamps
  • 17-inch alloy wheel
  • 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apply CarPlay and Android Auto Support
  • Toyota Safety Sense including Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Pre Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), All-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Auto Brake Hold, Electric Parking Brake and Blind Spot Monitor.

Like other three, this one also observed an increase of 15,000 Baht (122,190) and the last price was 1,009,000 Baht (PKR 8,223,247).

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan is still waiting for 12th generation Toyota Corolla Altis. As per reports, Toyota Pakistan is all-set to launch hybrid Corolla in Pakistan but it has been delayed due to unstable economic and political situation in the country.
