According to our sources, this new variant will replace the Toyota 1.6L Automatic variant; however, there has yet to be an official confirmation from the company.

Here are the photos:

What is New in Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 CVT

The pictures show three major changes in the new variant, Toyota Altis 1.6 CVT, which are:

  • New design of Alloy Wheels
  • New CVT Transmission
  • New Alpine infotainment touchscreen

The new design of alloy rims is chic and sleek, enhancing the overall look of car’s exterior. The new rims are in a silver and black combination. Meanwhile, the new touchscreen beautifies the interior of the car, giving it a modern look, and hopefully, the performance of this system will also be upgraded.

Last but not least, the CVT transmission will make the drive smoother and more enjoyable. The CVT transmission ensures the owner a much better driving experience on short and long routes. This new Corolla will be smoother with an upgraded driving experience, and most importantly, it will increase the fuel average. The auto experts believe that this car’s mileage within the city will easily reach 13/14 km/liter.

If you remember, we told you about this news back in September.

There are no guesses that Corolla is among the most popular cars in Pakistan. People love it for its reliability, sturdiness, and excellent resale. The fuel average is another reason, and an enhanced one would be a bargain. So, fasten your seatbelts and switch on the engine of eager waiting.

Its still a 10 year old car. No matter how many bits of ugly plastic they stick on it.

    Its just sad really.

And they didn’t communicate the price, Hyundai elantra have the same engine size, but with a more dynamic gearbox, is not a CVT.
And overall the Elantra is newer than this Corolla.

Another bold lie, no wonder, about the current state of the society.
By the way, this Corolla is still better than your JDM from every regard, it smells new, looks new and feels new, something that your JDM has not allowed you to experience.

Elantra’s newness does not matter Bhai Waqas, Corolla has never sold itself because of being new, it rather got along well because it is sturdy, rugged, adaptable, maintenance friendly and above all, quickly convertible to cash. A good Corolla could be sold within hours, whereas I have seen Elantra taking more than a month and not even attracting a good price, no one, under current situation, wants to own a car that is neither durable, nor as long lived and is not saleable quickly.
As for CVT or a dynamic gearbox, well, the CVT does not make Corolla susceptible to breakdowns, therefore, the dynamic gearbox thing does not give Elantra an edge over Corolla either. Anyways, the price is appearing on Indus Motor Company website, it is in ex-factory form and is around PKR 4.569million. Here is the link to it https://www.toyota-indus.com/corolla-x/

It is true a newer car is not necessary better than an older car, a lot of parameters we need to consider.
But how it is fair when the car become that much old, the price don’t follow ?
About the gearbox is not about reliability, even though Hyundai group is among the most reliable brand in the world, but it i to make a driving more pleasant, experiencing something different.
Hyundai elantra is not a huge success in Pakistan because of the Sonata, Sonata is cumulating more sales than Elantra being the most affordable midsize sedan in the market, here we can talk about a cannibalization.
And personally i’am not of guy who is buying a car for resale value, i’am buying what i need in balance with what i like and i can afford considering reliability/durability as well.
