The dates for the seventh Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) Thal Jeep Rally, powered by PakWheels, have been announced. Both sides signed an MoU in a private hotel in Lahore, where the trophy was also unveiled. It was announced that PakWheels would be this rally’s official digital media partner. The signing ceremony was attended by Asia Gul, Secretary Tourism Department, Agha Muhammad Ali Abbas, Managing Director, TDCP, while the company director Suneel Munj represented PakWheels.
During the event, it was announced that the rally would be held from November 17 to 20, 2022, in Thal. Here are some of the pictures from the event.
Like last year, the top rally driver from across Pakistan, including Sahibzada Sultan, Asif Fazal Chaudhary, and Faisal Khan Shadikhel, will attend the race. Till this year’s rally, here are some of the highlights from the last year.
Thal Jeep Rally 2021
The last rally was also held in November 2021. The winner of the Prepared-A category was Zain Mehmood, who completed the track in 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 39 seconds. Meanwhile, Sahibzada Sultan was the second and third driver on the podium, legendary Nadir Magsi.
In the women’s category, Tushna Patel emerged victorious, while Maham grabbed the second position. Eight female drivers participated in the rally last year, while the total number of drivers was 109.
Along with the jeep rally, the organizers also arrange music, cultural dance, and different activities representing local traditions and customs.
