BYD aka ‘Build Your Dreams’ needs no introduction. Now the BYD has unveiled its plug-in-hybrid truck, Shark to rival against Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.

Its front fascia draws inspiration from the open mouth of a shark delivering performance with boldness. It is based on a Dual Mode Offroad (DMO) platform and an elevated ground clearance of 282mm. Its underbody is designed with precise protection, best suited for off-roading ventures.

Interior

The Interior is designed considering the off-roading routine and for that, it is basic yet full of practical utilities. It has a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment screen. Other set of features include a head-up display, 360-degree camera, air purification system, smart entry for Apple users, wireless charging, and ventilated seats.

BYD has hinted towards a full-electric version of Shark coming later on. However, the fun fact is. Many US automakers are restricting the sales of Chinese vehicles in their vicinity. Should we call it propaganda or insecurity?
