nop no check light... i guess its too early to say my diy messed it up
Pin number 3 is there probably to give a constant supply for the memory feature of the headunit. Another one of those pins should get 12v when the ignition comes on. If you have a multimeter, you can check the pins one by one by turning the ignition on and off or you could use a small bulb aswell. Another source of getting the power so that it cuts out when the ignition is off is the cigarette lighter's power.
Thanks for suggestion, i did not go for cigarette because then i would have to cut/solder the original wiring. Right now, even though its messy wiring but everything is plug and play
