bro i am facing some issues, car in question is civic 2005 manual
1: I went to market an hour ago, the rpms were dropping on idle and 70% of the times engine died unless i give throttle. It happened both on CNG and petrol. Pick was fine. Anyway, i went inside shop got my stuff and on the way back home, it was pretty much fine. Engine didn't die though some times rpm dropped on idle.
2: When i reached home, i set the cng idle adjuster screw so that rpms do not drop and afterwards i gave a full throttle to car. And i was amazed to see that the rpm limiter did not kick in even at 7500 rpms Last time i remember the limiter did not let me hit red line. I tried once again just to be sure but again limiter did not work.
Technically these issues are unrelated to this diy right? because i did not mess with any harness, everything that i pulled out was put back in ( also i just pulled the connectors for head unit, ac controls, fan controls etc etc just the front panel nothing else)
All the connections i made are directly with head unit.
I took 12v from head unit connector pin 3, ground from pin 2, rest pin 6, 8, 12 were audio signal and a 10k resistor between pin 3 and 9
I am really getting frustrated :s
Btw my car used to give jerks on petrol so last week i went to honda dealership, he removed cng wiring from engine bay and told me try now. I took a ride and problem went away, i asked him to put back in cng wiring since i don't know when will i have time to visit cng mechanic to get it resolved.
Could that be the reason? but i don't think people at dealership can mess it
on a side note, the pin 3 (12v) always gives voltage even if the ignition is off and key is out. I was forced to add a switch but i don't think its a good solution since sometime i might forget to turn it off. I wonder why it doesn't turns off
