Today , we are here with the owner’s review of Aqua GS. The user bought this car about one-and-a-half month ago in Rs2.9million . The model of this car is 2015, while it was imported in 2018 and registered in 2019. This is top-of-the-line variant of the car.

Upgradations

As per the owner, Toyota has given a sporty look to the car along with new bumpers, chrome garnishing, new side skirts and new badging on transmission stick and push start button.

Salient Features

The user believes that the car’s interior gives a premium feel. The car has power steering, power windows, retractable side view mirror, traction control, Eco mode, and EV mode. The car has LED headlights on both high and low beam along with LED fog lamps.

The whole interior has a blackish look and the owner loves it.

Fuel Average

The intracity average of this car is 22-24km/liter, while on long route, it gives 17-18km/liter, making the car very fuel efficient.

Comfort

The car has bucket seats, arm rest with ample leg and head room. As per the owner, the drive of this car is very smooth with excellent handling. “Even if you take a cut at 80-90km/h speed, this car will not disbalance,” he said, adding that it is more balanced than Corolla.

Missing Feature

The owner misses sunroof in the car, however, he knows that it is a hatchback, hence, it is not easy to have this feature in it.

Ground Clearance

People hesitates before buying Aqua GS mainly due to its alleged low ground clearance. “But it all depends on your drive, I have drive this car with four people and didn’t face any issue, however, if there are five people then it will create some issues,” the owner said.

Maintenance Cost

As per the owner the maintenance cost of this car is not that high as it depends on your driving style. “I travel on long route quite regularly so I get maintain its brake and throttle body and get them service after every 7-8,000km,” the owner said.

Spare Parts

The availability of its parts is easy but not convenient. “To find its parts, you may have to travel a bit, search markets but you will find them,” he said. He further added that the parts are costlier as compared to locally assembled vehicles.

Resale

“I have bought it in Rs2.9million but I know I can sell it in around Rs3.2million,” the owner said. He also told us that its resale is a bit slower than standard Aqua but it has a specific fan following,” the owner told us.

So! turning a car at 80 or 90 kilometers is a symbol of great handling, what an ethical stance, it is such thoughts that are causing so many accidents on the roads in our country. Who on earth turns a wheel of a car at 80 or 90, one must have to be really thick to do that in the middle of public. Besides, a hatchback cannot be compared to sedan since people going over longer trips and taking unusual amount of luggage with them would then have to carry those bags on their legs in an Aqua. Furthermore, I believe a local assembled Corolla is way more cheaper to maintain then this better equipped J.D.M. for sake of comparison, spark plugs of this Aqua would be over PKR 1,500 in contrast to Corolla’s PKR 350 and as side view mirrors get stolen in our environment and these must cost over PKR 50,000 a pair then who would consider even buying an Aqua? May be those who earn over a million in a month.

There is no denying the fact that a lower center of gravity when compared to the Corolla, will always translate to added stability when cornering or making sudden changes in direction if needed. That lowered stance also means it will scrub its underbelly when fully loaded, no matter what the owner says.

It is a good-looking car in terms of exterior, the interior is a bit bland for my tastes though.
