Mitsubishi launched the 2nd Generation of EK Wagon in 2006. Mitsubishi EK Wagon is a front/four wheel engine Kei car. The 2nd Generation of EK Wagon features the restrained boxy design.  Mitsubishi EK Wagon (2006-2013) was available in the following variants M (Basic), G, GS, MX and Joyfield(Special Edition). Mitsubishi halted the production in 2013 with the arrival of the new generation. Mitsubishi EK Wagon price in Pakistan is very competitive when compared with other Kei cars available in the market.

The exterior of 2nd Generation EK Wagon features the boxy design with rectangular shaped headlights which complements the overall exterior of Mitsubishi EK. The rear end houses vertical stacked rectangular taillights. The special edition EK Wagon Joyfield features an additional side turn lamps and chrome plated door mirrors. MX variant comes with electric retractable remote control door mirror and multimode keyless entry system. MS/ GS variant has the rear electric sliding door. All variants of Mitsubishi EK Wagon (2006-2013) features identical styling in every aspect. An optional roof-mounted spoiler is available in all the variants. The overall exterior of Ek Wagon is well poised and subtle which allows it to differentiate itself from its rivals.

The interior of the 2nd Generation Mitsubishi EK Wagon features the use of gray, light gray and silver plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features include dual airbags, air conditioning, cup holders, traction control, power steering, power windows, power lock doors, 4-speaker stereo speaker system and a tachometer. Options include automatic climate control, multifunction steering and satellite navigation(standard in M Navi Collection and MX Navi Collection). Special edition variants GS and MX come with electrically adjustable seats. Marble editions come with special parenting equipment.  The overall interior of the 4th generation Suzuki Wagon R features a decent amount of interior space for a Kei car of its exterior dimensions. It also offers a decent level of comfort and interior refinement.
