It was making noise like "WHOOO WHOOO" on turning the steering left and right. Sometimes it made a tuk tuk sound on moving . Once on turning the steering, the wheels did not turn and I continued going straight and i had to slam on the brakes. Then I stopped my car and switched it off and then restarted it again and the problem of not turning seemed to be resolved.
But once you have such a problem then obviously you stop feeling safe driving the car and this was the reason that I sold it off.
Don't get me wrong. City 1.2 cvt has class leading leg space for back seats passengers and drives okay . but once with 5 adults on the motorway and trying to reach the speed of 120, it becomes quite difficult and the noise of the engine increase a lot "GAAA"
You should buy 1.2 manual , it has 89 hp (all available to you but cvt 1.2 looses 20% power. this is very evident when you drive 1.2 cvt , it feels like it has problem breathing. However 1.2 manual has good pick and even on motorway, its pick up is good and gives good mileage.
If you don't want the problem of gear changing , then my suggestion would be to buy 1.2 manual or 1.5 cvt or aspire varient.
Weight of 1.2 cvt is 1,180 kg . Weight of Yaris 1.5 cvt is 1, 140 kg.
Even my friend at Honda showroom was insisting to me to buy 1.5 aspire cvt and not 1.2 cvt because of pick and mileage problems of 1.2 cvt.
i visited murree some days back and met a person who had .1.2 manual city. they were 5 adults and 4 kids and still they were able to climb up the slope of Dilkusha hotel without any problem. That guy also told me that with 5 people they had driven the city at speeds of 180 + and also showed me the video
