I personally think PakWheels has lost its charm because of strict moderation.
Before, people would get in huge fights and quarrels although most (if not all) would still never revert to verbal abuses and bullying and remained more or less civilized. It was acceptable by moderators then, but now its a completely different story.
Here's a thread I started some years ago, and look at all the responses and the sheer aggression of some people:
But even with that, none of them went as far as to verbally abuse a fellow Pakwheels User!
I think each forum should have some flexibility in this regard otherwise people would quickly abandon it. I mean how one can engage a meaningful argument with someone without getting a little biased and offensive?!
I personally find it an acceptable behavior, although your mileage may vary.
And the new UI, though miles better than the older one I admit, takes some getting used to and I'm sure that it deterred dozens of hardcore Pakwheelers who were accustomed to the old UI.
I used to post almost daily and had to deal with dozens of notifications everyday, but now, my posts don't get that many engagements anymore and almost all recent threads are just boring to read and are full of boring responses.
Where's the fun in that?
