Chinese automaker Joylong is all set to enter Pakistan

Under the new auto policy 2016-21, many new automakers are coming into the country and are gearing up to launch new vehicles. Similarly, a new Chinese automaker namely Joylong Automobile Company Limited is all set to come to the country and launch new vehicles as well.

As per the details, its subsidiary in Pakistan Joylong Pakistan will import the vehicles from China. It will offer four variants of passenger vans and also a coaster as well. The influx of Chinese automaker in Pakistan is also rising due to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Aside from many Joylong many companies such as Daimler AG has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Logistics Cell (NLC) to assemble Mercedes-Benz trucks in Pakistan. The company is aiming to tap the pickup/truck segment of the market due to CPEC.

Joylong Pakistan Chairman Rehan Meghani while talking to the media said that they the vehicles which they would be offering in Pakistan will have added features as current commercial vehicles being sold in the local market and that too in half of the price compared to them.

At the initial phase the company will bring around 150 units annually, and as their presence grows in the market, they will start local production as well. It is worth mentioning here that the company as of now has not revealed the actual date of launching of the vehicles in Pakistan.

Jiangsu Joylong Automobile Co Ltd was founded back in 2007 and is importing vehicles to 60 countries around the globe. Joylong has technical collaboration with Toyota Japan and uses their research and development for its vehicles as well.
