The 2nd Generation Suzuki Swift was introduced in 2004. Suzuki Swift (2004-2010) is a front engine front/four wheel drive hatchback. The 2nd Generation of Suzuki Swift featured an updated design language and upgraded interior. Suzuki Swift was also available in 2 body styles 3-door hatchback and 5-door hatchback. Production of the Suzuki Swift 2nd Generation lasted for seven years and Suzuki halted the production of 2nd Generation in 2010. The price of the Suzuki Swift 2nd Generation is fairly competitive when compared to other models in the same class.

The exterior of the 2nd Generation Suzuki Swift features a unique design language. The front end houses trapezium styled upswept headlights, a black grille and dual air intakes. The rear end houses trapezium styled upswept taillights and a standard case hatchback. The 1.6 Sports variant features a slightly more sporty and aggressive design language. The front end houses a larger front bumper with wider air intakes while the rear end of the Suzuki Swift features a roof spoiler, a larger rear bumper, and a dual sports exhaust system. All other variants of the 2nd Generation Suzuki Swift feature identical styling in every aspect. The overall exterior of the 2nd Generation Suzuki Swift features a fairly distinctive design language that allows it to differentiate itself from other cars in its class.

The interior of the 2nd Generation Suzuki Swift comprises of black plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features on the XG include air conditioning, power steering, power mirrors, power lock doors, stereo speaker system, dual front airbags as standard. Features on the higher end Sports model include four airbags, larger tires, and front fog lights. Options include climate control, electronic stability control (sport only) and front Recaro seats (Sport only). The overall interior of the 2nd Generation Suzuki Swift features a decent amount of interior space in both the front and rear considering the external dimensions of the hatchback, it also offers a decent level of comfort and interior refinement.
