Like Uzair said, even with CKD version, price of EVs won't be less due to battery cost.
As an example, Volt EV is Alto category vehicle but still it costs 42 lacs CBU and expected price of 35 lacs for CKD. Not much difference between CKD and CBU because right now there are not much taxes for EVs with less than 50kWh battery.
I am considering Volt EV as a replacement for my wife's Alto because it's only used within our area mostly for groceries, pick n drop kids from school, etc. I don't need big range. I saw one vlog from Suneel sahab where he was driving friend's Rinco. He said it is more than 50,000 km in Karachi and still going strong expect for tire noise. No maintainance done by the owner during this whole period. Lols
BTW this Rinco name is used only in Pakistan. In Thailand, it is Volt City EV. The same name is used by DFSK Pakistan.
