Strict lockdown in Malaysia is true. There were zero vehicles sold in Malaysia last month.
Recently I came to know that the Al-Haj plant is ready in Karachi. It's not operational only because CDK shipments are blocked due to strict lockdown.
By the way, there's delay in deliveries from all manufacturers. The only vehicle delivered on time right now is Yaris. Don't know how Toyota is managing that.
I see everyday people using bad words on Facebook groups of multiple manufacturers due to late deliveries. Even Suzuki is giving Nov or Dec delivery timings.
Late deliveries of vehicles is a worldwide issue right now due to massive supply and demand gap. Even in the USA, where people bargain in dealerships for discounts on new vehicles, dealerships are selling vehicles above the manufacturer's recommended price. There are advance bookings done for vehicles which have not yet reached showroom. I know this sound normal to us, but for Americans, this never happened.
Due to these reasons, people in the west are recommending not to buy a vehicle until 2022 or until the supply demand gap is closed. Just to give an idea, check this video
