Well, I encountered my first 'problem' on my pajero. Was driving one day and had to brake hard for a dog crossing the road.
Afterwards, the brake warning indicator and buzzer stayed on for the rest of my ride home.
I did some searching and found that I may have encountered the common HBB motor failure issue. I popped the hood and tapped the area and sure enough, the motor was jammed.
Was able to remove the entire assembly at home, remove the motor and took it to Bilal ganj for a replacement..
I first went to 'pajero center' which I found on Google. Not a nice place, dirty and unorganized. Owner was kind of rude and tried selling me the entire HBB unit that was in absolutely horrible shape. Asked if he could let me test the motor and he outright refused.
Went across to 'welcome pajero centre' and they were very nice. They had a unit wrapped in plastic and sold me just the motor. They opened it up to show me it was in good condition and helped me out with a good price.
I also found a shop who was able to rebuild the commutator for me on my old one which I have kept as a spare..
After reinstalling yesterday the pajero seems to be running well!!
