Hi Xulfiqar,
I have Cultus 2008 EFI since 2 years, and I am planning to change the spark plugs but quite confused about choosing between options. A few days back, I went for tuning, and the mechanic said that you should change the plugs now as they are pretty worn out. Although the electrode or the tip looked as good as new but as per his suggestion, I went to buy new ones. Genuine NGK was not available due to shortage, and Denso was only available, but that were replicas too, so I decided to install the old ones back, which were Denso (simple ones). The plugs aren't giving any problems like missing, and the acceleration is pretty fine too. I have driven the car 20,000 km and am not sure when they were installed before I bought the car. Upon finding out on the Internet, I came to know that the avg life of simple plugs is 25,000 Kms so I believe they must have completed their life regardless of the fact that they are working fine.
My car cooling system is on direct fan, and it gives me around 11.5 KM/L without AC and 10.5 KM/L with AC within the city. The car engine doesn't give me any problem. I will not say that the engine health and performance is 100%, but it is satisfactory considering it is a 16 years old engine.
I am contemplating which plug to choose. I heard that NGK is recommended for Suzuki's, so I got three options:
- Genuine NGK Normal Plugs (Copper Ones)
- Genuine NGK G Power (Platinum Ones)
- Denso TT (Twin Tip - Nickle Ones)
Please suggest which is the best option for my car. I have seen everywhere that G Power is a great option for Cultus, so in your opinion, will it increase fuel avg, performance, and acceleration/response/pick - up or not?
Thanks & Regards
