Suzuki Pakistan has confirmed updates which the new Wagon R will receive from now on. Suzuki in an internal circular has stated that from now on, the Suzuki Wagon R VXL will come with following updates.
- alloy wheels
- chrome garnish on the rear hatch of the car

And these changes come with a price increase of PKR 50,000. Suzuki has brought up the price of the Wagon R VXL from PKR 1,114,000 to PKR 1,164,000. Suzuki has dubbed the changes “Wagon R Minor Change”. One of our bloggers, Fazal Wahab, had already mentioned this in his blogs. But now everything has been confirmed with the official Pak Suzuki documents.
Pak Suzuki halted the further booking of the popular hatchback in January for the whole month of February. But the bookings have been opened since the 1st of March. The Pakistani auto assembler has increased prices of its locally assembled vehicles, from Mehran, to Bolan, to Ravi, and Swift and Wagon R. The smaller price jump is of PKR 20,000, whereas the biggest is about PKR 50,000 in the price of Wagon R.

There are 3 to 4 design defects and if the same are eliminated, Wagon R would turn out to be one of the best small cars in Pakistan. The defects are, first, the rear windows opening/closing is not automatic; secondly, the door side pockets are very narrow and thirdly, the steering is not adjustable.
